I REALLY like the under tray. Did you use a special tool to cut the angle for the screw heads to recess in, or was it just careful work with a drill? Everything is very flush and smooth. Looks great!
The Vento Triton is a lot like the Marshin Predator that a lot of people around here have. I'm sure your bike will be popular here! If we ever get a custom show in the US you'll have to come for a visit. |

I use an "special" bit to cut flushed angle holes, this tool is used in wood by carpenters, to flush the bolts in furnitures.

Hello Mexicano, good to see another familiar face. May I suggest you go to the "EDIT" button and rename this a project thread specific to your scooter. When you get a chance, add some more of the photos you have, as we know you have a bunch of work done Your CPI-based scooter is probably the most common one sold in the USA at this time, there will be a lot of folks very interested in your fine work.

Mexicano,
I have a friend who is seriously thinking about picking up the same LED lights for his bike. You don't by chance have a photo of the light and/or signal operating at night do you? I'm just wondering how bright it is.
How long does a scooter-center order usually take from where you are? A month or so? I figure it'll probably be about the same amount of time in the United States.

Hi Aereomyst,
I don't have a picture at this time with light "ON", I will take one for you soon, but let me tell you this light is brighter than stock single bulb light, the quality is nice...I really recomend this to you.
PArts coming from Germany usually tekes 2~3 weeks at the most, mainly because the "****ing" customs!!!

Your stopping power must already be very good! I can't wait to see the new setup though, it's sure to be over the top!
How is your rear brake? Cable driven, right? Malossi has the drum style brakes for the type of wheels we have (I even think the one on my Marshin says "Vento" on it, the old ones used to) but I don't have any experience with them yet. I think a stiffer cable would help on some Chinese bikes, but the ones on the Vento bikes are pretty good from what I can remember.

Josh:
Yes, my front brake works very well, it has enough braking power, but You know....I love to improve all the time, my rear brake is the "stock" from factory (drum type), it works pretty well but I want to get a set of "good" quality brake shoes, but I don't know which one to choose from, the 50 c.c. rear brake shoes are smaller than the ones I need and the 100 c.c. BW's are bigger!!
Which Malossi are you talking about?
Thanks, |

Hi, time ago I switched to a Yasuni C21 on my Vento Triton R4i and I couldn't fit the central stand anymore, I was using the side stand for a while unitl now, I built a custom central stand for my scooter:
First, I cut the upper part from the stock stand:
Then I got some square frame:
I did a "notch" to insert the upper part:
I'll weld the highlighted parts:
Cut a small plug for it:
The upper part is welded now:

Here is the bolt & pin:
Cut some plugs for the base:
Weld them:
Got the wheels:
Turned the surfaces on a lathe, insert the axles for the wheels and weld them:
Almost ready to weld again:
Weld again:
Did some fileing to the welds and polish them:
Wheels on!!
Ready to weld the upper part:
Made some test on the scooter:
This is a view with the lift bar:
Weld the lift bar, both sides:
Now It's ready for paint!!!!...I will show it again once is painted and doing it's job on the scooter.
Regards, |
