Well gang, here she is. I got this thing last night, and I actually am impressed with its performance stock. Its not fast, but it feels good. Its an entirely different beast than my Zuma was. My top speed so far has been 56MPH down a slight grade of hill, but it wasn't long or steep. Cruising on flats is about 51-53MPH. The suspension is great, and so are the brakes. As from this year, the rear shock is a larger diameter, and it comes with steel brake lines.

Nice scoot, welcome to the world of exotic scooters.I like how clean the underbelly is.Are the brakelines braded stainless or steel hard lines w/soft lines(like a car)?My x-race has the braded lines and i must say the brakes feel like they could stop a train.
How long till you modify? It took me about 10 days to get rid of the 50 jug Very Happy

My friend just bought a morini last week, and my piggy smokes his. Not only a ~5kph top speed, but way better acceleration.

JCMotor- I'll start modding soon. I sent parts back to scootercenter and I'm waiting to see whether they will give me store credit, or refund some money. So far they haven't answered 1 of my 35 emails.

It really does look very advanced. All the goodies
you would want Smile. Any details on the engine? LC,
carburetted, injected? Love the instrument cluster.

2T ditech with Electronic fuel injection. I believe the venturi size of the intake is 18mm, yet I'm confused still on where what is coming from.

Every part on this thing has a function. There is air intakes that come from the front of the bike to the tranny box, the air is sucked in, then blown out of a maze of plastic in the back by the clutch. There is no kickstarter(wierd).

It comes with 19x15.5 gram rollers, a 107mm clutch and bell. The stock torque driver is the same diameter as the minarelli O/R(134mm?).

Front/rear disc with what I think are steel braided lines. Its pretty easy to lock the rear wheel up:). Liquid cooled, stock compression ratio of 11.5,1.

The ride is quite nice. It took me a while to get used to the size and weight(both on the plus side of the zuma), but I'm really starting to like it.

Might be the throttle plate size? All very cool! I saw
one of those exhaust pipes on Ebay last year, should have
snapped it up. Wasn't sure if it was just an imitation
expansion chamber, that really did not much more than
the stock pipe, but it seems to work really well. 50+
out of a stock 50cc, is great. I bet the gas mileage
is up there as well?

Can it still be classified as a scooter, if it goes that
fast?

the stock vario on those new Piaggio engines are very good, you just have to do the vario mod i posted to gain a bit more range (overdrive), saves you money for other stuff instead of buying a vario kit.

stock Piaggio rear pulley is 128mm, Overrange rear pulley (Piaggio) is 134mm, get a Malossi belt for it, some springs & rollers to tune it, along with the other list of parts like a 70cc kit, decent pipe, ECU & tranny mods it'll do 60+mph on a flat road.

get the Malossi kit as the ECU is tuned for it, it's like putting on a different map for the EFI.

Old model Piaggio engines have 128mm pulley (<1998). After 1998 they changed to 134mm pulleys. The only difference between the overrange kit and stock pulleykit are the lanes on the torque pulley.

I think the 70cc kit with upgear (to solve that dip) would be a great investment in keeping your scooter fast and relaible. Like Overrevs says 60+ mph on flat road, cruizing around is no problem.

There is no kickstart because you have a injection scooter. Ever kickstarted a injection motor Wink?

The only think traveling thru your membrane is air. BTW, I think that Roost made an injection model exhaust, that outpreformed the aftermarket parts. Maybe give him an email!

Keep us updated with movies and pics Mike!

The Yamaha C3 is fuel injected and has a kickstart... How does that work?? Question

Big B-

Maybe you have a better method of getting a hold of Roost, I tried for
monthes to reach him for a minarelli exhaust and never did. I see on the
scooter-attack site that they sell roost pipes now, but I don't remember seeing
one for my bike.

Mike
