Tiba, if it's ok to tell, how much hp are you getting out
of 50cc? |

actually i don't know bcoz we haven't dyno'd it yet but from my estimates i am putting the figure around 15hp at the wheel & i am quite conservative at that figure. we even raced it in the open scooter class against Dio125's & Jog90's & it held it self up pretty well.
we won the open scooter class with the 2Fast 78cc Jog & the MHR 50cc Cute managed to clinch 3rd place. a Jog 90cc only managed to beat the MHR 50cc by 1/2 scooter length. let me see if i can get the video up. |

wait, here's more.

just out of curiosity we raced the MHR 50cc in the open scooter class to see how it would do against 90cc & 125cc drag scooters, the results are not too shabby, it got 3rd place & it beat a Dio 125cc scooter for 3rd. the 2Fast 78cc Jog wins the Open class. |

I have been to the Drags here in Japan a few times, You would really love the action, as for the Dio,s the huge 120cc -125cc really dont do well. The trend is more into 76cc -84cc setups, Although I did witness one Bad A-- 114cc dio that was insanely fast, but the guy could not keep the power the tire seems like every run he was unwinding his contra spring.Just pure torque. Love the vid, hard to believe 50cc can move like that.

Definately do this. Jon sent me some magazines a while back, and they're pretty cool! I can't read it, but I can look at all the pics. It's a very different world out there. Also, the books open backwards!

Tiba, it's fun to also see the reaction times when the light goes green.
Your rider seems to have the edge on that . Is it just perspective,
or is the far 'start' line slightly ahead of the one on the near lane? |

there are some really sick Dio125cc drag scooters here but we managed to beat them with our 2Fast 78cc engine, it wasn't easy at first bcoz we lacked torque & the 125's have plenty of it so of the line they beat us by 1 scooter length & that's all the way to the finish line.
when we upgarded the 78cc with a new higher compression head & 2Fast 78cc pipe that solved our problem & beat the fastest 125cc here by 3 scooter lengths.
they stopped racing after that, the tuner said they put everything they know building their scooter so they quit bcoz they don't know what else to do to make it faster. LOL
as you can see in this pages i have put a lot of thought & effort in building this 50cc bcoz i have something to prove against the 55cc cast iron kit boys that a mere 50cc nikasil plated aluminum cylinder can beat their bigger engines.
they all have boasted that no Malossi or Polini 50cc aluminum kitted race scooter will ever beat an overbored 55cc tuned cast iron kitted scooter.
we're running 100LL avgas just to keep it from detonating & we gained some more hp in the process. |

no your eyes aren't deceiving you my friend, the other line is a bit ahead of the other bcoz the finish line is at a middle of a slight curve so to compensate for that they staggered the starting line so both lanes travel the same distance.
weird no? |

go for it but it'll need serious porting in the cylinder & carters to make that small 50cc make serious power, you must find a way to keep primary compression high after you port the carters to match the cylinder, you already know what i'm taking about as the evo cylinder has HUGE transfer tunnels. |
