Hi, my name is Flo , im 17 years old and i´m from Germany, i think my english is ok but of course not the best, so i hope you guys will understand what i´m saying.

A half year ago i startet a project, i want to build up an Piaggio Zip 50cc.
At first i wanted a low sport engine, but now the engine is to loud an strong for the streets, moreover the police is looking after tuned scooters.
Her is my scooter *shame* as i bought him:

A few days later i bought some neu stuff :

70cc Stage6 Sport
Stage6 Pro Exhaust
BGM Evo 18.000 Crankshaft
MHR Reedvalve??
MHR Intake short (over the rear wheel)
Top Performance Racing Variomatik?
Stage6 CNC Drive
Stage6 Racing Team Bell
Stage6 MK2 Clutch
19mm Dellorto Carburator with an Motorforce Airbox

Some pics:

The engine has 15,8 horsepower and it goes with an 40% longer gears 124 kilometer per hours.

you will hear from me more, soon.

Best regards

Welcome to the forum! Very Happy We don't have the Zip50 in the USA, so it's nice to see this machine.

Your English is pretty good too!

Hi Flo!

Thanks for posting your project here, it's very nice!

It is true that we don't have many Piaggio engines here, but we do have a lot of Minarelli.

Keep us posted on your project! Looks great so far. Very Happy

I've been wanting to find an importer for the Piaggio Zip here in the U.S.

Looks like some beautiful hardware! I'm curious about the ground out cylinder stud boss in top left corner in the case photo. What is the plan for that stud? I have seen several Zip SCREAMERS, so I'm sure it will be a terrific build!

Yes, there are many differents between the honda and piaggio eninges......the piaggios are so much more powerfull and the acceleration with my sport zylinder is frightfull, i cant hold the front wheel on the ground Wink

Im going to use a watercooled cylinder , this zylinder is specially made for my engine, evberything is ported, its a midrace cylinder with 1 exhaustport, so its not a highender or something.....the porter promised me 19 horsepower at the crankshaft......

so you will see more pictures soon...

Your Pic of the engine case looks like Honda AF18e engine, it make me wonder who copy who. Sure looks like your peugeot case is a Honda Clone. And you claim peugeot is so much more powerful, would like to see one 1/32 mile world record from this engine block, As the Honda block holds many world records.

124 kmh on a 70cc kit now that is really hard to believe. let alone 70cc pushing 40 percent taller gears.

This is exactly that what i have already said......the piaggio engines are so much more powerful......when i would build up a peugeot/honda engine with the same parts, the honda engine would only has 8, max. 9 hp and ca. 9000 rounds per minute ......the piaggio engine over 15 and 12.200 rpm.

And peugeot copied the honda engines Wink

Moreover i said that the piaggio engines are more powerful, not the peugeots!

Sry but i cant understand everything......i think you mean this port fromt the intake to the boosport?
Its good for Malossi MHR,Bigbore cilindre and so on, with big boostports...its important for them.
But you cant drive with this engine, you need all 4 ???cilindrescrews??

Regards

I believe he is referring to this pic where the back left cylinder stud hole is filled with epoxy. I'm curious as well!
