(SOLD) I have a very, very nice KYMCO Cobra Racer 2-stroke scooter w/less than 300 miles for sale. See the (5) different photos of the actual scooter below.
I am asking $1,110.00 for it, which is KBB Suggested Retail Value, even though it has less than 300 miles and is nearly like-new...FAR FROM AVERAGE CONDITION. It has been garage-kept since new and NEVER ridden in the rain. It is not de-restricted to go faster yet, but it can be if you would prefer.
KBB Suggested Retail Value for a KYMCO Cobra Racer:

Serious inquiries reply via email, call or text Chris @ 336.653.9963 for more info and/or to make arrangements to see the scooter in-person. Test rides will be allowed to experienced riders only. No trades and no shipping! Any holding (reserving) of the scooter or an out-of-my-town, scheduled delivery will require a reasonable earnest deposit as quickly as possible, like by PayPal, for example. Cash only will be accepted for the purchase.

I just wanna say that my uncle owns this very model scoot.
It has 20,000km on it now with the stock engine and still runs strong!
This scooter cruised at 50mph and with a newer belt it topped out at 60mph tucked. Darn good scooter! A shame they dont make them anymore |

Good to know, "2strokd"! I really appreciate the information and I will pass it along to whoever is interested in purchasing it. Personally, I don't know much about this particular KYMCO scooter model. But, I have owned more than a few KYMCO's during my enthusiasm for scootering and KYMCO's seem to be excellent scooters pretty much across the board. I was just wondering, does your uncle by any chance have an owner's manual for his Cobra? I have looked online everywhere I know and I can't seem to locate one anywhere. I would pay to get just a photocopy of his if he has one. Let me know if he does and might make me a copy. Thanks!!! |

This has basically the same engine in it as the air cooled Super 9, Sting, Yup 50, etc. It's a very strong 2-stroke. Moped Hospital used to race them actually. When compared to the newer more heavily restricted 2-stroke Kymco scooters, the Cobra will win. De-restricted, the thing is a little beast. It's also quite a bit more comfortable than the Chinse clones... China made azillion clones of the Cobra with both GY6 150 and QMB 139 50 engines. I've seen the odd 2-stroke China clone, but there seem to be less of those. Be sure your buyer understands that this is not one of those knock-offs.
Best of luck,
~Josh |

I've got an owner's manual for a Vitality 2t / 4t. It covers both, but engine maintenance is going to be the same for the 2t Vitality and the Cobra... If it helps, you can have it.

Josh,
I sold the Cobra today. I was wondering if the red line on the tachometer, which is at 8,000 rpm's, is where one needs to stop. Or, is it safe to go over a bit without damaging the engine. Remember, I did unhook the rev limiter coming out of the CDI. I just wanted to let the guy know who purchased it from me. He may want to tweak-it-up a bit, so I told him to bring it to you when he does. He has a truck to transport the scooter, so it is no problem for him to get it to you.
Thanks,
Chris |
