Hey guys, LONG time lurker here and just now registered.
Im new to the two-stroke world and from what ive been reading...there are masters here. I have a Honda Ruckus with a Yamaha Zuma 50cc motor swapped in it and I am wanting more power!!
heres what I have so far:
Motor: 2004 zuma
Clutch: Stage6 Torque Control Clutch
Carb: Stage6 R/T MKII PWK 21mm Racing Carburetor
Clutchbell: Stage6 R/T Wing Cooler Clutch Bell
Reed Valve: Stage6 V-Force3
Reeds: Stage6 Carbon
Air Filter: Stage6 Double Layer Racing Air Filter
thats the list so far...now I am searching for a BB kit.
Which kit would yall suggest? Im going to be riding this everyday...so reliable is somewhat needed. I will be putting larger gears in the rear so I can get more speed as well. I need to be able to cruise at 55 mph all day to be safe.
The exhaust that I am after is the Yasuni C16
Heres a pic of the ruckus
now here are some of the tranny, youll see it all needs to be replaced and I am open for suggestions on those parts as well..
variator:
Clutch Pulley:
Thanks in advance!! |

Wellcome to the forum , My Advice:
Before even think in going faster, wear at least a helmet.
Wear gloves and protecting gear.

That there my friend is some of the best advise you will ever get.
2 stroke tuning is really 80% science 20% of knowledge and skill, Stick around and read some older post. There are tons of Go Fast guys here that will chime in when you need help.
Welcome to the Forum, nice Zoomer, and wear a helmet and safety gear. I though Texas has a helmet law ?
Regards

i am reading a lot and learning a lot as well...the only thing I dont know is how BB kits perform and that is because I havent tried them in the real world. yall know parts better than i do as well |

If you're after a C16, you'd probably be happy with something like:
Stage 6 Racing AC
Motoforce Racing (use wider Stage 6 needle bearing with this)
Malossi MHR Replica (do not buy from Joel at Malossiusaonline)
Metrakit SP
Personally, I've fallen in love with Stage 6. I've used both sport and racing cylinders and they all perform nicely, and are good quality.
A couple months ago I set up a Motoforce racing with C16, and that did pretty damned nice too.
There are many other cylinders that you can use. Bram's setup profile post can be quite useful:

Welcome to the forum!
BTW, The only scooter wreck I've ever had was at the end of my driveway, lol. Never, ever ride without a helmet, brains are not repairable.

ive seen that thread and broke it down many of times...thats where I am getting my combinations from. but which one is the best combination for power and reliability...thats the dilemma.
ive considered:
Stage6 Race AC (aluminum, single ring)
MHR Rep (aluminum, dual ring)
Polini Corsa (Cast Iron, dual ring)
all would be paired with the C16 |

Yes, most standard Minarelli crankshafts will fit just fine. There are a few stroker cranks, and then some for the Jog 90 platform, but most of the crankshafts that you will see on the market advertised for Minarelli Horizontal will work for you.
I have used many Stage 6 and Motoforce crankshafts, and they hold up very well.
